To My Dz

When I look at you, you turn away
You won't even give a smile
How I long just to talk to you
You know it's been a while

If I knew I wasn't coming back
I would've said goodbye for real
I'd look into  your deep blue eyes
And tell you what I feel

You know that I loved you
More than all the rest
You're the greatest friend I ever had
You were simply just the best

And what I would give right now
to tell you that I love you
And that I'm sorry for everything
for the pain & hurt I cause you

I know that we can never be
But I wish we'd have a proper goodbye
Where I can hold you tight & tell you
That I'll love you 'til I die
