To My Beloved Wife and Children
I may not be the best husband or father ,
but you all are the best that has ever happened to me;
my wife I am not the most good looking man in town ,
but for you my dear I will make myself like the young lads that parade in beauty contests,
I trim my beard delicately on a Sunday morning in thought of you,
I put on my best when we take a walk down the park
like I am appearing before the queen of England,
you my dear are my queen ,your majesty,
I may not be the best cook but for you my dear I will read the books of the masters and cook you a storm, forget the stereotypes of gender, my only joy is to see you smile, I may not be perfect and I will error , but for you my love I will apologize a million times, you my beloved are my world , I seek not to be your ruler but your slave and kiss your feet,
you are not a reward but a grace to me,
I will not treat you like a priced possession for even they;
can be manipulated,
you are not a possession to me but a miracle,
I will shamelessly cling to you,
I belong to you more than you to belong to me,
second only to God, I live to please you
I love you
