To My Anonymous
I try to find the perfect thing to say
In search of words you've inspired
But nothing comes to my dismay
So I sit here eager to say what I feel
Please bear with my rough rhymes
I will no longer try to conceal
I've set my heart on you
But I think you never knew
Why I stutter and stumble in glee
How much your presence is to me
And as I gather the courage to let you know
You walked away and left me alone
It broke my heart to lose that dream
But strange when I see you my heart skips a beat
So as I walk through this unfamiliar ground
Let me tell you this, you're always on my mind
And though I'll never know if you ever feel the same
I just want you to know, you inspire me this way
