To Mary-Ann

To Mary-Ann

Gone are days in dreams and change
Like a breeze through November sky,
But times are bound to slip away
When late fall passed us by
     Under beams of fading lights

For in chance our lives are fleeting
     Like summer long forgot,
And moments are left to hurry on
     In sign’s of a sweet good-bye
Behind the softness in your smile
