To Live Today

I like to go for a walk early in the morning before the sun is up...
Then come home and sit and ponder as I cradle my favorite coffee cup.

This gives me a lot of energy to start my day...
And it's also a great time to give thanks and pray.

Sometimes I like to remember the good things from my past...
And count my blessings because many of the bad things didn't last.

There is a lot of living I want enjoy today...
And by dwelling on the bad from the past can cause a delay.

So let me grab my coffee cup and let my thoughts begin to race...
I aim to live today at an enjoyable pace.

I'll never live this day again...
And a good start is the way I want today to begin.
