To live full, not long

Each tick long as eternity,
True joy is not to live for long,
Nor yet to live in certainty.

Wants and wishes, what vanity!
That turns joy unto tasteless song,
A tick of time’s eternity.

Butterflies, what an entity
Blessed with earth and skies all along!
They scarce chase any certainty.

Nothing exists eternally,
Nor would pyramids last for long,
All things bow to eternity.

World too, by relativity,
Even love and beauty’s sweet song
Seeks no solace in certainty.

Joys lie in life’s uncertainty,
Tune in, sing till the final gong,
Live each tick for eternity,
But never once in certainty.
