To live broken
Have you ever felt so lost?
Have you ever felt so broken??
You can’t find the words to describe the pain you feel,
because they’ve never been spoken.
So you learn to live with the pain
because you're broken beyond repair,
You can’t understand what you did so wrong,
to live a life of despair.
Sure there were good moments
But they were so short lived,
You tried and tried to be positive,
Only to not be relieved.
But somehow you made it this far,
So it shows that you’re strong.
You don't even know where it comes from,
But your trails don’t last long.
When you think its over
Life throws something your way,
Then you gotta start all over,
It’s the same thing every day.
It’s so hard to find joy
but you gotta fake a smile
That's easier than explaining what you feel
so you become numb after a while.
You become so good at it
you sometimes believe your own lie
And that keeps you going
Even though you wanna die.
There’s no greater pain
than having to hide your reality
It gets to the point
where it messes your mentality.
There’s no greater pain
than going through it alone
Until it becomes clear
God’d never left you on your own.
Then it starts to make sense
And a tiny seed of hope begins to grow
So you hold on to it tight
And never let it go.
Life will never be perfect,
everyone faces different situations
Where their faith gets tested
With so many temptations.
Just know a higher power
Is reaching out to you with love
Waiting to give you the strength you need
The peace you always dream of.
If you put your trust in him
He can make your burdens lighter
Give him all your troubles
And he’ll give a new life that’s brighter.
He understands how you feel,
Like no one else can
Just reach out to him,
And hold on to his hand.
He doesn't want perfection
He just needs you to do your best,
Then his grace is enough,
To make up for the rest.
He’ll love you unconditionally
With a love that never ends,
Just like a Father loves his children
Thats where it all begins.
