To Know Thy Self

Within ourselves Lies the
desire of giving and of
Loving, nurturing and sharing.

And although at times we may
feel stripped thread-bare,
Where we want to Leave it all behind.

We will beg of ourselves,
However can I handle this awesome
responsibility that we call Life?

Our wounds clearly run deep
Leaving us naked, injured and raw.

That fear alone drives us
deeper inside ourselves,
Solely for our own protection.

Yet our own security comes
truely and profoundly from within.

Instead of being fearful of not
ever having enough for ourselves.
Better yet we understand when we do.

Then it is clear we are to miss nothing
that we have ever truely needed...
