To Know That God Exists
Today I realized god exists
You know one of those moments
where everything just slows down
and its just you and the sound
of the wind brushing against the pavement
a wind so completly powerful
that it takes away your breath
My dog and I
we ran
and the clap of the wind against our bodies
was so completly resounding, it was almost if we were in
an entirely different world
It was something so extraordinary
that I knew that there had to be something bigger
out there. Such synchronous movements
A sign that no one else seemed to notice
but to me
It was as if nothing else existed
except for the purpose of feeling one with god.
OR SOMETHING like
just truly knowing yourself for the first time if that makes any sense
Confused yet?
I shall further continue.....................
It was I was in this place where no one else could touch it
where there was no worldly confines or judgement
I could almost scream as necessary
or fall
down to my knees to weep
and in that world only god knew anything about me
The windswept leaves
manuvered by the wind
showered over top of me and
almost was embracing me
Like for the first time I knew in such a dangerous place
There was something SO GOOD
No one could ever touch that moment
Where the howling of the blustery wind only drew me further
TO KEEP RUNNING
My Heart pounded against my chest wall
remiending me in such an explosive world
I AM ALIVE
a WiND SO POWERFUL
that my feet almost left the ground
I am ONE WITH THE WORLD, and one with myself!
The leaves continue to dance around us
and as I raise my arms to catch them
I see they are delicatly swift
like gods eyelashes darting as his eyes watch over all of us
that everything was right in this moment
And I knew the truth
That god does exist
not by the stories of a black bound bible with ancient scriptures with words so
confusing it could make your head explode
but
with my eyes and soul
This day was a celebration that only god and I could ever understand
Giving us each singular moments
To know the love of something bigger than myself
To know that
god exists
TO know that
God tries to grab us by our shirtails
to show us the passions in life
that could not exist
I know that god exists
