To Know God
To know that God is mine
Gives joy beyond compare.
To know that He will never leave
Gives hope and not despair.
To know that He is near,
Whenever doubts arise,
Will settle every fear
And dry those reddened eyes.
To know that He is in control,
When sickness and sorrow strike,
Gives peace and contentment
Down deep in my soul.
To understand that God cares,
When trials come my way.
To realize that He our burden shares
Makes worry flee away.
To know Him, and be known of Him,
To love and His love possess,
Will last beyond what this life gives
Even at its best.
