To Idiots Who Spread Disease

To Idiots Who Spread Disease

By Elton Camp

I can’t believe what I just heard from you
“I hope you don’t mind that I have the flu”

As if that’s not too disgusting to stand,
Then you even dare to extend your hand

Tell me what it is you think that I’ll do
Reach out and shake hands with you?

How can you pull such a stupid stunt
Your very presence is a vile affront

It’s at home in bed you ought to be
And stay there until you’re virus free

Is it a friendly reception that you expect
For the health of others you’ve no respect

Let me tell you just what I’d have to do
To be in the presence of the likes of you

If I could don an outfit for germ warfare
Only then would you be possible to bear

With such folks, courtesy we should ignore
Maybe they won’t do such folly anymore

“Fellow, I do mind a very great deal
As do any truthful about how they feel”

“You’ve an astonishing lack of care
To go out sick, how do you dare!”
