To Hold

Untruths a whisper Fallen from your lips Save for another will forgive your slips But I truth teller cannot forgive with ease A day will come when you need a hand to squeeze Be gone with your hooded lies The darkness within your soul For I hold only lightness And will till I grow old One day you will find yourself All alone in a world so cold You'll find that all your lies got Was fakness which to hold

Rather bleak...but pretty powerful stuff all the same, Brenda -- and a resounding finale! In fondness. :) john P.s I hope you are feeling much better!

Lies are short-lived, Brenda, especially if they keep coming in quick succession. Ugh...best to part ways; there are many more fish in the sea lol. Regards // paul

A great write Brenda, indeed bringing out such a great truth that a liar will be caught out in the end. Blessings always, Gordon

So true... Liars are very hard to understand. Not that I'm perfect by any means but don't trust a liar. Love this - Bless you, Gina
