To God

I believe in a greater power, Something mighty and stronger Than anyone could imagine him to be God, I do believe in thee. Why art thou so close, yet so far? Why can’t I see thee, touch thee? Why do you want to hide from me? Why are thee just a faded blur? Society turned faith into propaganda Conspiracies swirling like an anaconda. The Church trying to protect what it does not know, How in the world can it do that, please tell me how? The truth is beyond pour knowledge, Over the hill, just before the edge, Seeking for it makes us humans, Please give these beggars some alms. Suffering and poverty roam your world, Our cries you truly didn’t have heard. People dying every day, returning to your side, Leaving us, and we can’t say we haven’t tried. Making peace is a divine concept, Man can’t be the Earth’s architect, We can’t build a society of love, Revenge and anger is all we have. Please, here my prayer, give us another chance, Don’t let us go so far; don’t take your providence, Let us feel pain though, and let us lose and cry, But please don’t make people unnecessarily die.
