To Gather Paradise
I have often dreamt of such a peaceful place,
where soft clouds would kiss a crimson sky.
In the shade under a blossom tree I wish to lie,
Resting on the infinite acres of heavens grace,
Cuddled in the bosom of all holiness if I die.
The wind carried strange leafs torn asunder,
As I followed there random course to sea,
I was reminded of the feeling of being free--
The silence filled me with such fright and wonder,
Yet relinquished of pain under this secure canopy.
While birds sing their tunes from high above,
The sweet scent of wild roses perfume the air,
This wild breeze makes the world seem so fair--
Still in this haven it is colorless without love
and powerless without its consequence of despair.
This beauty may last as long as stars do shine,
Where in our place in this world holds no regard--
Our memories are what leave us scarred,
Here I remain under all things truly divine--
I am waiting for you where the angels stand guard.
