To Fly

Drink in the sun
Until you feel every one of its rays
Blazing at the tips of your fingers
And its warmth filling your heart with joy.

Drink in the sky
Breathe in the vast hope it kindles
In its bosom of blue, and feel its freedom
As you let it soar through your mind.

Drink in the moon
Let its shining glory shatter into tears of silver
Forever sparkling like twilight stars
At the depths of your very last dreams.

And drink in the laughter
Of growing trees and singing streams
And when you close your eyes you will feel
The wisp breath of wind on your face.

Then you will fly.
