To Drown

She walks along the empty beach,
She looks over the ocean, what does she?
She sees a ship sailing by,
But alas- just a trick of her eyes
A single tear drips down her cheek
And hits the sand beneath her feet.
The sea breeze ruffles her linen gown
And draws her to the water, the water to drown.
