To Death My Friend

Death my friend, it is indeed really a pain. Having to wait for you for so long, I may start thinking that you've forever gone. I often seek you till the line of mortality that's bent You last came to meet a friend, i know But you hide from me as if i carry an immortal's soul We used to talk late into the deep dark snow But you never took me into your weird old ball A mile i seek, a mile you run We share an unbreakable bond yet i frown For you stay away like a Priest from rum. I will continue to wait on my lawn; Until you agree to take me, to eternal rest bound Until we can be together from dusk till dawn.
