To dance upon the edge of reason
To dance upon the edge of reason
Denying myth its menace
Dodging the shadows of doubt
Knowing the square peg has its place
As does the round hole.
To ponder the depth of thought
Wade through shallow whims
Judge the “fruit” without bruising it
Peruse the fine print labels
“best if used by” admonitions
To act, deliberately, but with great care
For actions, like ripples, cannot be recalled
To stand as tidal trends reshape the shoreline
To build again sand castles made of dreams
To dance upon the edge of reason
