To Come Back Again
It was a rampant effort to exploit
By trying to anoint and then appoint
A certain person who needed nursing
Regarding reading poems and rehearsing.
How ironic that they all had elected
A certain way for it to be perfected
Should it require a shot for immunity
Blocking obstructions to an opportunity.
Another important thing we had found
Stand up straight with feet on ground
When saying poem sound of your voice
Must make you happy and want to rejoice.
May be an embarrassing moment or two
When up their hands they all just threw
After all of your great effort had erupted
Use of verb tense and words were corrupted.
So did you think it was quite essential
For you to produce your every credential
Reading poem lasting for at least an hour
Everyone there was sure to over-power.
To a very short subject you should stick
Forget all of your power that is intrinsic
And when poetry reading reached an end
You'd gladly come back again and again.
