To Bear My Father's Name

It's such a long way home from here
To the place that I will always hold dear
And I remember my father standing strong
Who most of all taught me how to get along

He was there to hear my words in counsel
Sure, he was not perfect in every way possible
But now when I think of him out loud
To bear my father's name I am so proud.
