To Be With You

Without you I feel cold and alone
Your touch, your kiss, your warmth, ignites me with passion and desire
A desire to keep the cold at bay with love
The scent of you on my pillow lingers too short a time
Marks from your kisses don’t stay on my skin long enough
Your head rests on my chest too short a time
No embrace conveys how deeply we care
Your sensual touch sparks a want
that is only soothed through the knowledge that love is present
Each day we spend growing closer together is a gift
I cherish this gift more than food or carnal lust
I would give anything to make this gift last forever
To never let our love tire and die
But our commitment to one another reassures this weak and weary soul,
Because even though we are apart I know our love lives on
And on
