To Be Seen of Others

If we’re only doing things
For a pat on the back,
Then likely, that becomes,
Our earthly reward;
While being seen by others
Might garner us a plaque,
Matters done in secret,
In Paradise, are stored.
Some of life’s preeminent moments
Have been the outcome of things done covertly
