To Be Free
What would it be like
To be free?
Peace and tranquility...
Just to be me.
No one to answer to
When you sleep all day
No one to bump into
Or get in the way.
To be free...Oh, to be free
To live each day in harmony
To live a life uncommitted
May bring about unwanted pity.
It seems you need someone or something
To put on the pressure
In order to test your own mortality
Just for good measure.
But oh...to be free
If only for a little while
Personal peace and tranquility
It would be worthwhile.
