To Be Born
To be born
To live in this world
To enjoy the pleasures
As a boy or a girl.
To be surrounded by love
To enjoy all the toys
To live the life
As girls and boys.
Sometimes you cry
Sometimes you laugh
But, that's the way
Of the growing path.
Yes, there is some laughter
And there are some tears
The joys of happiness
The depression of fears.
They loved you so much
When they were little
Where have they gone?
Now you are brittle.
But, to be born
As a girl or a boy
It can bring about
So much joy.
