To Be As One
Each day I wake to see the sun
To feel the breeze, to be as one
With nature’s world to feed and heal
So grateful for all that I feel
To feel its love in simple things
The tree that shades, the bird that sings
The honeyed bees, their nectar sweet
The crickets dance, to tap my feet
I am amazed that I may live
With such a gift there is to give
And so I pray I may deserve
Another day that I may serve
What can I do to make this place
A better home, a better space
For all to love and know the sun
For all to feel, to be as one
