To Be a Father
To be a father
Means you love harder
And you’ll be the designated protector
For always and forever.
The rock,
The anchor
And the light.
You’ve fought for your family,
You are our savior
and you’ll always hold us tight.
You’ve been there from the start,
It comes from the heart,
Managing it all is a work of art.
Sacrifices have been made
To make sure needs are met.
You’ve always stayed
And you never forget
Who you’re fighting for.
Caring for us has never been a chore,
It’s always came natural
For that we are grateful.
You may not be superman,
But you’re my man
And that’s enough,
Because to me you’ve always been tough.
Chasing our dreams
One day at a time,
It’s closer than it seems,
You give us peace of mind.
I know we don’t tell you
What a great job you do,
By trust that we see you
And know that your love for us is true.
We love you,
You’re a great father.
We appreciate all that you do,
We’ll love you forever
And ever it will be,
Because you mean everything to me
And the world to them.
With you our light will never be dim.
