To All Those Dear

To those we love we bear our souls,
We share our hopes, our dreams, our goals.
We break down our walls, unlock the doors,
We let them see our greatest flaws.
Our insecurities drown us with doubt,
So much so we want to shout.

But welcomed still with open arms we are,
Held so tight to erase the scar.
Left behind on our heart by the past,
To make way for a new start better than the last.
To friends and family and all those dear,
I thank you for always being here.
