To a Unicorn
In truth or myth you have garnered great fame
Smiles shape the lips at the mention of your name.
Mystical in form, a white horse with spiraled horn.
With beauty and magical powers, you are a Unicorn.
With mane and tail flying, you soar up in the skies.
In awe are those who've seen with their own eyes,
a fancied glimpse of you deep within a pine wood
then hurried to where they swore you proudly stood.
Fairytales were written and legends have long been told
about the power of Unicorns and their treasure of gold.
A kingly treasure of my own, I would be pleased to give
if I could know for sure, herds of Unicorns really did live.
