To a Red Fish
Red fish red fish have you no fear
to swim up the surface while blue heron near
Just a strike from her sharp bill
and you red fish a tasty meal
Dive down deep to the murky below
if you wish to see another tomorrow
Blue heron silently standing still
with an eye for her next kill
Wading in the lake's shoreline
snatching little fishes to dine
Red fish red fish swim away
into the deep for you are her prey
The sun shines warmly and rides the waves
as red fish red fish survives another day
