To a Friend

i look upon your picture,
with open eyes,
it makes me smile all day and night
to know your a friend worth while,

i pray for your safety
i do hope you hear
as if you need a friend 
i am always here,

looking to the future
and thinking of the past
am glad you were a friend 
when things went o so bad,

i would love to repay you
for the things you done,
you were always close to me 
telling me where a went wrong,

remembering when we were young,
and what we use to do,
in this time in life
now the police comes to you, 

we use to get up to no good
but not really to bad, 
now we sit and talk of past
as we sit and laugh, 

i pray for your happyness
as life goes along, 
and pray that life treats you good
as you do grow old,
my friendship is so true
as forever more,
i will always be there
if you chap my door, 

was you keeping me going
with what you did say
more like it was our mothers
with there nagging ways,

your close to my heart
and there you will stay
as your the greatest friend i have
and would have it no other way,,,,
