Tivoli Gardens

It doesn't feel like Disney World Though it has lots of rides And food and fun and shops galore It naturally provides. Since 1843, it's been A Copenhagen treat, A perfect place downtown For friends and family to meet. You stroll right up and pay the fee And then you're on your way - No snaking lines or checking bags To spoil your night or day. Despite the cold, the festive lights And sparkling decorations Are there to welcome locals And those here from other nations. The Danes have made a special place Without commercial shtick. Appealing to the grown-ups Is what likely does the trick.

No commercial shtick! Wow! Sounds like a bit of heaven to me (or at least to Betsy). Cheers, Gershon

The freedom to enjoy oneself without having to keep looking over shoulders! There is something for everyone to enjoy. Tivoli Gardens amusement park inspired Walt Disney to build his Disney World in America. ~ Regards // paul

Also seen this place on film though in the four years I was in Germany I somehow never visited Sweden? Probably more concerned with European countries at the time. / M

I'll never forget Tivoli Gardens! The first time I was there, a lady wearing stiletto heels came down the stairs and stuck one heel in the cuff of my trousers. Never worn cuffs since then. I hope you are also enjoying the pastries! You write great postcards! Aloha! Rico
