Title Needed

Throughout my whole life, I’ve felt like I was on the outside looking in.
It’s always been as if no one saw me for who I wanted to be.
I was always waiting to be part of the group and let life begin,
But they looked right through me without a second glance and never chose me.

I felt so alone and pushed aside… my only companion was pain.
I feel my whole life has been lived in quiet darkness and quarantine.
Being someone’s literal shadow is very lonely and mundane.
“What’s the point of being visible, if you’re not going to be seen.”*
