Tiny Kitten

tiny kitten
swiped the air
opened her paw
nothing there

tried again
other paw
opened slowly
naught, it saw

smacked her lips
then meowed
curled up to sleep
bent, not bowed

Ah, this is so cute. I know of no other word to describe it. Nicely-written.

So cute. I love the emphasis on the paws and the sleeping "bent, not bowed." We've got an orange tabby and he's got the best personality--- a lover AND a fighter. (I just sent you soupmail when you get a chance.)

Thanks, Juliet. It was time for a kitten poem tonight. Go figure. ~ A.C. (Aging Cat)
