Times Have Changed

All the houses look the same
Every street a different name

No more children play outside
Behind closed doors they seem to hide

The parks are empty on a summers day
All the people stay away

I find myself in deep thought
Of what use to be, and now what is not

So true, Christopher. I remember when I was a kid, we played outdoors all day long and never thought about anything happening to us. The risks are too great these days. You have captured this well in your fine poem.
