Timeless Grace

I listen to a good friend speak
but do not watch her face
Follow I instead her dainty hands
    her gestures' timeless grace

  I listen to another friend
    and focus on her eyes
  They reflect vicissitudes
    each one a new surprise

  Listening's a neglected art
    from which many do depart
Its instruments be eyes and ears
    windows to the heart

... we "forget" to listen ... we forget body language ... we are too busy pressing buttons and scrolling to the next page - I agree with you ... use your ears and eyes ... take time to be human - hugs

Love your observation Gershon. So true your words. Maybe we can read more and have a better sense of what is being shared if we do as you do. Thanks for sharing...

This is why I will always have a job if I want one "Listening's a neglected art from which many do depart" because listening is my "bag" - how I get material.
