Timeless
Many speak of courage and the dragons that they meet
But what of the dragon within, deep within the deep
A beast so terrifying, it’s made many a strong man weep
No flames bursting from its maw
Instead a song so captivating it lulls you to sleep
All other dragons are scales in its hide
One must enter its lair alone and bow at its feet
You must respect its power before you draw your sword
Because once you stab its heart you in turn pierce your own
Mustering this kind of courage is no easy feat
By killing the dragon you also kill yourself
You are reborn in the womb of wombs
You awake to the world humbled and renewed
For it's embracing the truth of this beast
That allows you the clarity to recognize peace
