Time to Remember

It’s time to remember, When we hit December, How quickly the time seems to fly. We drift through life’s stages As calendar pages Proclaim that the year’s slipping by. We mark off the seasons For no other reasons Than habit and need to keep track, Yet the forward momentum Makes days – how we spent ‘em – Worth little, for we can’t go back. So each month we’re still living, There’s time for forgiving And blocking out things that annoy. Every day of the week We should wake up and seek Something out there to bring us some joy.

I like this idea of wrapping it up, and moving on. Poem is a reminder to clean house. Thanks for your poem.

Your poem is beautifully written, and I love how it captures the fleeting nature of time. It’s a powerful reminder to cherish every moment, live fully, and focus on what brings joy, leaving behind what brings discomfort.

Slow it down. Make every moment count. One more call to a lonely relative. One more 'I Love you' to those you do. One more act of kindness! Excelsior, Gershon

what a lovely uplifting ending to the poem Ilene, it's scary how the days and years fly by, and I agree we must look forward - we cannot change what is in the past. hugs jan xx
