Time To Laugh

If time can tell who I am
I dare say I haven't enough
If time can simply tell a when
I would want a world of time to just laugh

Do we need pain for laughter to thrive?
Is that why we smile with hidden remorse...
The many things we do trying to feel alive
Can we not accept simple gains and humongous lost?

And we live on without the cure for cancer
And I revel without a cure to die of laughter
Yet the search for gags are vastly narrower
Isn't all things with experience the better?

There are so much pain every which way we turn
Everywhere we go, everywhere we won't
So much depression we decidedly enroll to earn
Paired with sipping amusements whether we do or don't

Can time tell an eventual I?
Dare I say it wouldn't be enough?
It should never be "time to die"
Rather I'll say, "It's time to laugh"
