Time Seems To Go Faster

Remarkable how time seems to go faster As we age, truth is, we move much slower, If we are not careful, time passes us by We grow less purpose-driven, mellower. We leave more to the next generation Feel we have accomplished our life's tasks Look forward to receiving some veneration Like to spend more time with our flasks. Sometimes we think about time stopping Knowing it will someday surely stop for us, When into our rocking chair we are plopping The cares of the day are no longer a fuss. Written March 11, 2022

I laugh as I read this, I smirk and I dance. "When into our rocking chair we are plopping" My rocking chair is on fire on the porch. I just signed my contract for next year.

So true--as we age time seems to move faster. Indicative perhaps of the things as yet unsaid and undone. I can certainly relate to your thoughts, Milton. You said it well-- time will stop one day.

I suppose that is the case, certainly for all of us time will stop when we move on into our unknown futures.
