Time Protects Man From Living In a Permanent State

Divisions of time
Stretched through your life
Growing and maturing
So that the prime of your life
Can be revealed on this earth

Nothing last forever
Time protects you from that
For everything there is a season and
The reason for this is that
Time protects man from living in a permanent state

It’s not what you are that holds you back
It’s what you think you are not
Put yourself on the spot and remind yourself that
Time protects man from living in a permanent state
Things change so rearrange your mind so that
You can still be strong during a tough chapter of your life
Don’t be too rough with yourself because in reality
Time protects man from living in a permanent state

Nothing last forever
Time protects you from that
For everything there is a season and
The reason for this is that
Time protects man from living in a permanent state

This is a wonderful poem Mark. So well written. I particularly love the lines, ‘ It’s not what you are that holds you back/ It’s what you think you are not.’A great, thought provoking poem. Really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing.
