Time Passes By

The time has passed and years have went by.
Birthday's have gone by but I'm still young at heart.
Skin is old, eyes getting blind but my mind is still smart.
As I stop to think of my life I wonder why.

Met my love 38 yrs.ago married when I was just a kid.
I was a wife and a mother and shedded so many tears.
Had a wonderful husband for so many years.
I gave him my heart because of something he did.

As we grow old we'll always be together.
We've loved our lives and loved our babes.
Our love for each other will never fade.
Even though years have passed we'll stay
together like birds of a feather.

Teresa, as PD said, this is adorable. Your rhyming was almost perfect; for first time with enclosed rhyme, you did really well, kid!!! Luv, andrea

It's very moving how you retraced the years of married life, Teresa. Even as you grow older, I'll bet he sees you as his beautiful young bride. A heartfelt entry for Barbara's contest and I wish you success! Love and blessings, Carolyn
