Time Passed
I saw your face after many years
I could hardly hide the pain or hold back the tears
what have you done my friend to look so frail
why did your life so quickly derail
after talking a while about years that have past
I couldn't believe that our friendship had last
you gave your life to a terrible disease
your hidden addiction has brought you to your knees
can I help you or are you a lost cause
If I knew I could help I would act without pause
please come back my friend that I once knew
before the next casket laid under is carrying you
