Time Management

If I am planning my day
In my head I say
This time do not be late
Do not put too much on your plate

My intentions are good
As you know they should
But it is with these good intentions
The road to hell is paved
So how is it for me time always gets shaved

People will phone to have a chat
I like that
The doorbell will ring
Is it for me
Oh lets see
What should I say
Go away

Try as I might to get it right
Time marches on
Without me it seems
And to my horror and dismay
The clock will display
My delay

So what do I do
Someone give me a clue
Throw me a line
Teach me about time

intentions are good... well let me tell you I have a list of "good" ones, yet the list refuses to decrease, regardless of effort. Loved the write. Excellent words. Ann

Hi Ann, I am delighted you enjoyed it, thanks for your compliments. Only yesterday a friend was advising me on how to manage my time better, it seems I am a work in progress. Frances ps great photo

Hi Frances...seems a lot of us have this time problem...my family always plans for me to be late! I've taken to setting my clocks ahead 5-10 minutes and it has really helped. Love your poem and the images. Jeanne

Hi Jeanne, My family say I will be late for my own funeral. I have tried the clock, it did help. Thanks for the compliment, appreciated, Frances
