Time Is of the Essence
The good and bad thing about time is that it's constant,
It always goes by,
And the days, months, and years have
Gone by in the blink of an eye...
You'll grow older and move on,
And I'll keep pushing and remain strong...
Time will not stop for anything,
It may feel like it's frozen for a moment,
But you look to the clock and times really flying...
We want to fast forward time, push pause, or
Rewind..
Maybe fix mistakes or find people we've left behind...
There's no such thing as staying in today,
We always want the weekend to come on Monday and for the never ending Friday
Time is not a song that you can just put on replay,
It is priceless, valued, and taken for granted,
To cherish the time given to us is a must,
To not worry about turning back time or what the future will bring,
But to breathe and appreciate every second
Of just being,
Time is not promised, and things can change,
Stop worrying about yesterday and focusing on tomorrow,
Those are now out of your range,
But at this point in time you can grab and make
The best out of each second, minute, and hour..
In time, there will be sadness, pain, and heartache,
Those feelings are inevitable,
At times it may feel like more than you can take,
We need to embrace the time we get together,
To smile and the sounds of laughter,
Feel the breeze blow, the sun rays..look up to the blue sky And be thankful for the time you have today..
