Time Goes Marching On

A yesterday remembered --
A tomorrow not yet seen --
Uncertainty and memories
With today resting in between.

A cycle ever changing
As time goes marching on --
Remembrances from yesterday --
And tomorrow, not yet known.

Designs of life surround us
As we live inside today --
Looking back at yesterday --
And, ahead, to -- who can say.

Yesterday is history --
Tomorrow, the unknown.
Today is certain, to a point --
And time goes marching on.
