Time For You To Go

Once, this was the only dream the inseparable bond of you to me agleam, the love and passion forever entwined the babe in arms divine but soon enough, came the burden and responsibility one babe became two then three and after all this time, you see things differently deciding you have no need of me. A younger lass catches your roving eye, listens to your ramblings hanging on the fly performs your every wish and desire flames your soul and body with hotter fires, and these children of our mutual flesh and bone are mere pawns that threaten your new throne and you argue and at last confess, she is your desire with who you are obsessed. It's not me, it's you - you say and make your time in this game you play, have your fling and all it's fun you'll never see me on the run Where did it all go wrong that love that we shared once so strong? All those wasted hours as our love sour, how well I know, it's time for you to go.

Well written and so sad. Even worse, all too common. Well done DM :)

Such a sad, but so often true tale, of two-timing husbands---who usually discover that the 'grass was greener on the other side,' once they encounter their new true love with her make-up and hair disarray early in the morning,...and then pine away yearning for the mother of his children---who, wisely, who no longer have the lout!! Great write, D.M. ~ Warm wishes, Gershon
