Time For School

It's time for school to start again.
Children must cease their summer play,
to once more pick up books, paper, pen.
It's time for school to start again.
Parents try to hide a grin.
They've been waiting for this day.
It's time for school to start again.
Children must cease their summer play.

Teachers welcome with a smile,
students on their first school day,
their faces scrubbed and dressed in style.
Teachers welcome with a smile,
then line them up in single file,
to enter in the room that way.
Teachers welcome with a smile,
students on their first school day.
