Time Flows On

time flows on

seven years a long time
when joined to seventy three
will birds be singing

Your title is a perfect choice. Time, so wise men inform me, does indeed flow just like a river. So who says it must flow just one way...does the river not dawdle, pool, eddy, stall, and, sometimes even, backflow? The surface of the river might seem to glide along at a smooth and constant pace...but underneath it is all turmoil and diversion. A personalized and thought provoking Haiku, Patricia. Your affectionate friend. :) john
