Time Flies

Holding your most treasured creation to your breast, You start to realize it never takes a rest. Looking into her eyes of brown, She is welcomed into your world, your town. Hearing her first word become your name, Before long, she's walking and time, itself, is to blame. Her sweet kiss goodbye as she boards the bus, Watching it roll off into the dust. With a blink, she's crossing that stage, A purple and black gown hiding her simple beige. Smile as big as texas on her face, Couple more years she'll be wrapped in white lace. She will then have her own pride and joy, A sweet, innocent baby boy. You'll look into her shining eyes, And discover that time never asks, it just flies

Such a heartwarming write, Abbygail. In the blink of an eye, it seems. Way too fast!
