Time Fades

There are many who long persist
pondering on what they have missed
and so they sit and sadly dwell
upon past dreams that cast no spell.

And those who on the future muse
whose fortune is for them to choose
missing moments their present sum
dreaming of days that never come.

Others settle on when and how
to live within the here and now
live each moment as their last
Ignore the future and the past.

But when I gaze into your eyes
it’s there I wonder all my whys
so in them life comes into view
so time it fades becoming you.
